"Promoting eco-attitudes in Poland, through programs of environmental education"

Project  "Promoting eco-attitudes in Poland, through programs of environmental education" is co-financed by the European Union, Programme: "Raising public awareness and strengthening the role of advocacy and monitoring activities of NGOs - small grants scheme"
Period: from 1 January 2008 to 31 October 2008.

The project aims to organize a system of support to selected schools across the Polish, that lead already taken action to reduce its impact on the environment and present themselves as "real examples of sustainable development." Support is designed to better use examples of environmental management in schools to encourage and support local people in taking practical action to protect the environment.

For the project we will invite at least 15 schools, which together set up Club Schools for Sustainable Development, through which we will encourage and support local communities in taking practical actions to protect the environment - in everyday life at home and at work. Using effective solutions for waste management, energy, water and materials through our help, these schools will be examples of sustainable development and will have a chance to apply for international certificates of quality in a comprehensive environmental management.
