The Schools for Sustainable Development Program is carried out in cooperation with public and private partner organizations, which together with us develop the program and support schools in their efforts to foster real-life examples of sustainable development.

Toyota

Toyota is one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world. In 2006, the company sold over 8.8 million models on 5 continents. Toyota is among the 10 top global corporations on the Fortune Global 500 list. It is also the most recognized auto manufacturer thanks to its focus on customer satisfaction. A not insignificant part of Toyota’s success comes from its corporate values which have their roots in the days when the modern company was in its formative phase in Japan. Toyota has developed a series of principles for environmental protections which are known as the Earth Charter and begin implementing them in its branch offices all around the world. Toyota is the only manufacturer in the world to put hybrid vehicles into mass production, and more than 2 million Toyota hybrids are driven on our roads today. Toyota has two manufacturing plants in Poland (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland in Wałbrzych and Toyota Motor Industries Poland in Jelcz Laskowice) which produce engines and manual transmissions. Consistent with its mission and corporate governance principles regarding the coexistence of its business activities and the environment, Toyota Motor Poland along with its dealership network has been implementing environmental management principles in every aspect of its business activity. Toyota Motor Poland and its dealership network are living up to the Toyota vision and mission by improving its quality management system. The company is also engaged in implementing the concept of “zero emissions”, which was formulated by Toyota and involves reducing the impact on the environment in all company activities and across the life cycle of its vehicles. Toyota is committed to reducing its impact on the environment which is proven by the Green Office certificate it received in 2009.

Cadbury

Cadbury is a dynamically growing company in Poland, and has many well-recognized brands including Trident, Green and Blacks, Halls and The Natural Confectionary. Cadbury operates two chocolate factories in Poland: one in Skarbimierz and one in Bielany Wrocławskie as well as a recently opened chewing gum faktory in Skarbimierz near Brzeg. Moreover, Cadbury is also one of the top investors in the Polish food industry. Since its founding, Cadbury has advocated corporate social responsibility and considers it the key to its success. For many years now the company is committed to the idea of volunteer work by its employees, who have the opportunity to develop and run their own community projects and receive support from the company in their efforts. How to become a sponsor of the Schools for Sustainable Development program

The Schools for Sustainable Development has been running since 2001 as a nation-wide initiative, and so far has involved over 400 schools from all 17 regions of Poland. Each participating school has designed and started its own environmental projects and has had the opportunity to work with other schools from Poland and abroad.

The Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation coordinates and develops the Schools for Sustainable Development program with Polish and international public and private funding, including support, both financial and in-kind, from the business community.

With the start of a new edition of the Schools for Sustainable Development program, the Foundation invites companies to support the program as Strategic Partners or as Supporters.

We will gladly cooperate with companies which set environmental protection and community support as a high priority, have demonstrated best practices in their business activities and want to share their experiences with others.

Companies which decide to become Strategic Partners of the Schools for Sustainable Development program (annual support of 50,000 PLN) receive the following benefits:  

1. invitation to participate in program events;

2. opportunity to actively participate in setting up joint initiatives and projects under the auspices of the program (geographically and thematically);

3. opportunity to use the program’s potential to motivate, educate and develop employees of the company;

4. promotion and recognition:

  • including the company logo in promotional materials, program websites, publications, press releases; 
  • promotion during conferences, fairs, training seminars, study trips;
  • sponsorship of competitions organized under the SSD program;
  • membership in the Program Advisory Board,
  • cooperation in developing the reputation of the company as an environmentally-friendly business.

 

Companies which decide to become Supporters of the Schools for Sustainable Development programe (annual support of 10,000 PLN) receive the following benefits:

1. invitation to participate in SSD initiatives and projects ;

2. invitation to take part in program events;

3.  promotion and recognition:

  • including the company logo in promotional materials, program websites, publications, press releases;
  • promotion at conferences, fairs, training seminars, study trips;
  • cooperation in developing the reputation of  the company as an environmental-friendly business.
