The project fix two programs Greenways and Schools for Sustainable Development.

Project includes three activities:

1. Schools for Sustainable Development 2009 - pilot edition in Krakow
2. Questing,
3. Day of Trees on the route Krakow - Moravia-Vienna.

1) Schools for Sustainable Development Programme is addressed to schools and local communities. It encourages young people, teachers, parents, organizations and local authorities - to take an action and become a environmentaly friendly .

Objectives:

- Introduction of local initiatives by young people, teachers, parents, neighbors, local authorities - makes them care about the environment.
- Develop ideas and tools to solve social problems related to the environment.
- Organizations and schools take leadership roles in the community-schools become centers of lively cultural activity.

2) Trough Questing we want to improve the quality of life and the environment by encouraging people to appreciate the natural and cultural heritage of the place where they live.

During this project we would like to hold six two-day workshop (September - November). One of the workshops organized in the Malopolska region will be led by State Street employees who want to have an opportunity to improve awareness of the inhabitants of the cultural heritage of where they live.

3) Day of Trees on the route Krakow - Moravia - Vienna is dedicated to increase environmental awareness and increasing the responsibility of people for the environment. It will helps local communities to protect natural and cultural heritage.

The program provides for the planting of trees along the route Krakow - Moravia - Vienna (to create longest avenue of fruit trees in Europe).
